this argument is pointless.

it's obvious that this isn't a fair vote since half the votes are from G2 anyway but there shouldn't need to be a vote.

i found out this morning while looking at the map list that 4 maps had been taken off the map list without my knowledge by rands.

i approached him and told him that i didn't agree with the maps being removed (1. becuase he wasn't a ladder admin. 2. there was no reason to as far as i knew).

He told me that he took the selected maps off becuase theres was a "consensus" from players on the ladder that they should be removed (shortly before telling me i was a faggot and blocking me). I found this hard to believe since the last time i checked, consensus means that EVERYBODY is in agreement which is clearly not the case.

Even though i am in agreement with some of the comments made (Broadside being way too small and MMD being a spamfest) i personally believe that if these maps are played, matches would still be competitive and players would enjoy them.

This ladder is not primarily about being the best of the best and showing how good you are, despite what the skilled players of g2 may think (that was a compliment), rather i think about having fun for most of the players on the ladder. "This map is too easy/requires no skill" is not a valid excuse to exclude them if the maps are being enjoyed. All maps require skill of some sort to play/win so how you can say they don't is beyond me. Play with one hand if that makes it challenging for you.

I have no problem taking maps off the list as long as there is a general consensus on them being excluded which i have not seen as of yet.

As for a solution, Hurley proposed to me that we exclude them from being picked in the first 2 maps but make them available to the defending teams to pick as a 3rd map if they wish. If this system is implemented i would have no problem using it. Thoughts on this system please.

P.S: i did not ask for RC to be taken off the ladder. i was merely comparing what i believe random did to what i would do if i was to adopt a similar stance. Also i told axis about the maps shortly before i had to go to work so he wouldn't have been able to ask me about the maplist.

P.S #2: Sorry for the long reply.

Yes, he's telling us crap unfun maps will be fun, thank you for reposting it.

It's nice you decided to reinforce his message after posting (in bold): "apart from the fact that obs and iceDag are two fo the gayest fkn maps ive ever palyed in my life"

was reposted because ppl were asking where it was (eg nadz) and some ppl dont know how to look properly in a forum.

ok, lets get this straight,
because G2 say a map is shit ... it must be shit.

... apart from the fact that obs and iceDag are two fo the gayest fkn maps ive ever palyed in my life

yeh the above was said ... but never did i suggest they be taken out of ladder rotation. Nor would I just take them out simply because of my own personal opinion. At the very least .. what axis did, should have been done.

But what would I know? ... im not oldschool G2 leet so what does it matter what me or other people think aye.

I dunno about BSLT, adds something different compared to the regular RD/DC/SH style of play...gives lesser teams who are not so co-ordinated the ability to cap and possibly win instead of cap out / shut out

Exactly, funnily enough the only complaints I ever heard were after a recent MMD match.
Obviously all maps where it could happen again have been removed ;)

Now im gonna lock this thread, but first im gonna have a rant at your coverage of this hurley. Starting a thread to re iterate the opinions of sil was stupid, you presented a one sided debate, without referring to any of the comments which followed by rands (the side of the negative). Now im not going to post that argument, if people want to see it they can go to the mmd thread, but in future hurley, think out your actions a bit before hitting that post button.
