Here's the heads up for you guys that don't chat to me/Ace on ICQ/MSN or are relatively new to Tribes.

I'll be upgrading the server code to 1.3 and reverting back to zAdmin.(reason being the limitation on admin levels with the existing)

Ya, so I'll try have this done by the Friday (Saturday Latest).

I'll also setup a few mirrors soon.

ya mate I heard some people are having ping issues. We had a good look into it a can't really track the source for latency. It would be really great if you have a traceroute of both before and after ping issues on the server.

OK guys, I've set it up now. Just need to test it.

yet ive been asking for lasthope 1.30 for forever.

aight,
i'll do some traceroutes n shiz ... weird thing is tho is (my usual ping is 44, now 60) when im on server list page and double click RIOT 8/10 times it shows ping of 44-48 and occasionally jumps up to 60 then back down to 44 .... but once ingame its a constand 60-64 ish.

everyones ping seems to be upped by 20 or so ...

i thought it was normal for it to ping lower when ur on the serer page and then it just pings higher in game... i mean If this were true.. i should be getting 150 ping, cuz that what it constantly says when i refresh the server but NAYYY i get 250-280. so yeah, omg thats a huge jump from 40 to 60, it must be totally unplayable man, i feel for you.

Yeah, i cant use my custom config ne more since it wont allow the models. and now after like 1min into the game my ping spikes to 996 and dosnt change. Its horrible!

Seems it's been a fairly smooth changeover. I'll be updating the comp server shortly.

Additionally it seems Swever has recently re-surfaced. He had some objections to the changes (according to swampy at least). Fingers crossed there is no conflicts.

Furthermore, I have been speaking with Tilly and Beast (Chariot Forums, workers) and we are soon to be organising a better webserver/forum/page. I will be looking into tweaking the zadmin mod to write records/stats to files. Can then setup graphs/results etc. Sounds exciting but will take some time setting up. Exams coming up!

Hurley, as far as your ping goes, I can only assume it's the other CS servers running lately, can't be 100% tho. *shakes cisco router again* *shifty eyes* ;:P
